Description

Mayor of Everett, WA, Henry Arends welcomes President Harry S. Truman to the city; Governor Mon Wallgren, introduces President Truman. President Truman's remarks begin around 3:00 and continue into part two. During the course of his speech, Mr. Truman recalls a story from his Truman Committee days where someone testified, imitating him a high squeaky voice the phrase, "making 300 million pounds of aluminum."
